Magnacopter cockpit

Magnacopter cockpit, as seen in 'The Trap'.

Originally built for the World Air Force in 2054 (later the World Army Air Force - WAAF), the Magnacopter is a high speed armoured craft with VTOL capacity. It was originally designed for transport of troops to hard to reach and difficult locations, where there is no available runway. It has a capacity of seventy plus men, with supplies and a small tank or armored vehicle.

Magnacopter passenger deck, again from 'The Trap'.

Spectrum bought ten of these Magnacopter from the WAAF, and refurbished them for its own use. Thus the Spectrum Magnacopter is a large-scale airborn maximum security vehicle to transport dignitaries, with far more comfort than its original use. Able to transport up to 20 persons in its passengers area, it is fitted with sleeping quarters, galley and toilet facilities, a control room with computers and communication consoles.

The cockpit is a two-seater for the pilot and either co-pilot, radio operator or the occasional passenger. One pilot, with no assistance, can manoeuvre the Magnacopter.

As a standard equipment, the Magnacopter carries a Maximum Security Vehicle within the vehicle storage bay in its belly.
