The Spectrum Welfare Committee has chosen to support the World President’s Charitable Fund for Children this year.  So, you can make a minimum gold coin donation and step out of your uniform with the knowledge that you will be supporting a very good cause.

All staff are reminded that involvement in this activity is at local discretion of the Team Leaders and Duty Officers and will be dependent on operational requirements.  Cloudbase off duty dress regulations are to be strictly adhered to.

Workplace coordination of this event is via Section Regulators.  Regulators to forward collected monies to Lieutenant Flaxen.

 

 

 

Colonel White has given permission for the following parties that were notified to the Welfare office to proceed.  No other events may be held.

Catering and Housekeeping

Please bear in mind that emergency services and facilities must not be left unmanned at any point.   In the event of a red alert, all staff are expected to man their posts immediately. 

 

 

The Catering Staff invite you to join them for a celebration meal on 25 December.  There will be a special menu on that day and no other food will be available, unless it has been pre-ordered with the Head Chef before 23 December.   If you wish to dine in a party of more than 6, please contact the Catering Manager to book a table.

 

Diners may chose three dishes from the following menu at the standard canteen tariff : 

 

Parchemin vertical: Starters Cream of Tomato Soup with croutons and crusty bread (V) Baked Camembert with caramelised red onion chutney (V) Smoked Salmon Mousse with a soft mustard and dill centre Fresh Honeydew Melon with Parma ham or raspberry coulis (V) Duck and Green Peppercorn Terrine with crusty bread   Mains Roast Breast of Turkey  with sage and onion stuffing and a bacon wrapped chipolata, served with roast and mashed potatoes and a selection of seasonal vegetables The following are served with baby new potatoes and a selection of vegetables: Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Fishcakes with Hollandaise sauce Braised Lamb Shank in Minted Gravy Breast of Chicken with a creamy Portobello mushroom and Madeira sauce Aubergine and Walnut Bake  Chargrilled aubergine slices, walnuts and butternut squash, on tomato sauce, topped with a Gruyere cheese sauce and sage crumb (V)   Desserts Christmas Pudding  with brandy sauce Whole Lemon Sorbet Buttermilk Pancakes with Fruits of the Forest and Ice Cream Rocky Road Cheesecake  chocolate biscuit base topped with chocolate and vanilla cheesecake and chocolate brownie pieces, served with cream Cheddar, Stilton and Brie with celery, grapes and biscuits    Coffee and chocolate mint crisps
